Valpane Winery
Pietro Ariditi was born in Turin but his origins were in Monferrato, where he moved back in 1990 to run his family’s estate. There, he devoted himself to wine growing, striving to infuse in the grape the knowledge and the flavors of the region.
Pietro Ariditi was born in Turin but his origins were in Monferrato, where he moved back in 1990 to run his family’s estate. There, he devoted himself to wine growing, striving to infuse in the grape the knowledge and the flavors of the region.
In his 10-hectars estate he grows barbera, freisa, and grignolino wines, all organic certified since 2017, which yield a yearly production of around 70,000 bottles, sold primarily in the US, France, and Japan. His wines have a unique personality that superbly tells the story of a region that can be generous – if you only take the time to get to know it.
Valpane Winery is set in a marvelous square-yarded farm dating back to the XVIII century. A wing of this superb example of rural architecture is now devoted to Pietro Arditi’s bed & breakfast, where guests can enjoy the quiet of Monferrato and the beauty of its landscapes, taste the excellent cuisine and obviously savor the Valpane wines.
The winery is open for guided tours and tastings by appointment.
